Industry Driven College Seeks to Improve Outcomes in Work Comp Via “Whole Person Recovery” Mindset

The newly established WorkCompCollege.com, a Workers’ Compensation Educational Services, LLC service, recently named MSA Source compliance counsel Aaron Frederickson as an associate professor.  Aaron has worked in workers’ compensation and personal injury litigation since May 2002 and in Medicare Secondary Payer Compliance matters since 2004.  “It is my sincerest honor to have accepted a Professorship role at WorkCompCollege.com,” said Frederickson.  He continued,  “In today’s workers’ compensation space, operating efficiently within the everchanging regulatory and compliance environment is becoming increasingly difficult.”

Frederickson will teach in the School of Stakeholders and be responsible for all Medicare Secondary Payer compliance courses.  “The complexities in navigating Medicare and Medicaid, state, and industry requirements, policies, and procedures - while providing the expected customer service to our referral partners – is a monumental task to do business within today’s value-based healthcare environment.”

With over 20 years of litigation experience in workers’ compensation and personal injury litigation, and nearly as much experience with Medicare and coordination of benefits compliance, Frederickson will use his approach of being concise and value-added determination to help stakeholders find practical solutions.  “I look forward to this new endeavor and assisting WorkCompCollege.com in its community-driven effort to embrace and remedy whole-person recovery management.  The goal is to help others better manage claims, lower costs, and improve results through education, information exchange, and mentorship,” said Frederickson.  Students who have already taken Frederickson’s courses have noted the benefit and better understanding he has brought to this complicated area of the law.
